ENVIRONMENTAL
RoHS/WEEE Directives
These directives are due to be adopted into UK law in July 2006. As lead and cadmium are key active elements within many batteries, and are in many cases irreplaceable, they are specifically excluded from the scope of both directives.
The battery directive 91/157/EEC remains the prevailing waste management legislation applicable. All batteries supplied by Euro Energy Resources are and will remain fully compliant.
However, as the core purpose of the RoHS legislation is to remove harmful elements from products, we consider that a spirit of compliance with it is generally good practice. Therefore wherever practicable we will ensure that battery components do comply.
For information, we would recommend contacting G & P Batteries on +44 (0) 121 568 3200, as a suitable waste management company for the disposal of batteries of all chemistries. Unfortunately we are unable to offer waste collection services ourselves due to waste transfer licensing restrictions.
Lithium Shipping
Euro Energy Resources conforms to all the latest legislation with regard to the supply of lithium products. We will always arrange for lithium testing, where appropriate, in order to comply with the law. Furthermore, we adhere to all requirements and regulations for battery transportation/ shipping of lithium products.
